Amiel Handelsman, Founder and Principal

Amiel is an executive coach who specializes in leadership development and organizational change. He is known for his shrewd insights, wry humor, and steady focus. His article about Integral Coaching, co-authored with James Flaherty, was published in 2004 by the International Journal of Coaching in Organizations.
For the past dozen years, Amiel has worked closely with organizations in business, public policy, and the philanthropic sector to develop skilled leaders and craft sound strategies.
Amiel began his career with Triangle Associates, a leading provider of executive development and strategic consulting services to academic health centers, health professional schools, and public policy networks. For the past nine years, he has headed up his own consulting and coaching firm, originally known as Handelsman Consulting. Between 2002 and 2004, he was Director of Development for New Ventures West, a premiere provider of coach training.
Amiel has an MBA from the University of Michigan and an AB Cum Laude in Public Policy Studies from Duke University. He is a certified Integral Coach through New Ventures West and is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Spiral Dynamics. From 1999 to 2004 he served on the External Advisory Board of the Corporate Environmental Management Program at the University of Michigan.
Amiel walks marathons, reads political biographies, and undertakes various practices to remain grounded, relaxed, and mischievous.
